Guest & Press Reviews

The last place I visited before the world shut down was cobblers cove, in Barbados. It was a magical three days at the beginning of march, I vividly remember an incredible resistance to coming home - besides it being the kind of place nobody would want to leave, I’m sure I was intuiting that it would be my last innocent hurrah in a very long time.

Pretty & romantic

We arrived for the October half term break and were blown away by the amount of money, time and effort that has gone into to turning the property into a Messel inspired Caribbean dreamscape. We were whisked through reception by the lovely staff, and shown to our rooms set in tropical gardens of giant ferns, climbing orchids, coconut palms and bougainvillea. The staff were incredible, so keen to make sure we were comfortable, the rooms have all been redecorated to extremely high standards, and the children were busy with Bradley on the boat, waterskiing, snorkeling and doughnutting. I had read glowing reviews in Tatler, The Times and Conde Nast Traveller magazine and in every respect, the hotel did not disappoint. What a treat we had!

Wonderful

The staff at this hotel are the best, they are polite, helpful and have the best sense of humour, the bar staff are hilarious and always on hand to help, the guys that look after the sun beds and towels are just great such lovely guys. When you walk into this hotel you immediately know you have made a good choice. This hotel has a soul and l will definitely be back.

Fantastic October 2020 break

I was a little worried about the pre trip Covid testing requirements but needn’t have been. I was tested on the Thursday, got the results on the Friday and flew out on Sunday. I was retested at the hotel on the Monday, got the result on the Tuesday and then could go wherever I wanted. Cobblers is the perfect place to have a complete relax in total luxury. All the rooms have now been completely refurbished and the hotel just has a magical atmosphere. I could not have had a better time.

Fabulous week in total luxury

The hotel is perfect and the staff are so helpful and friendly. We couldn't have better looked after and will come again.

The restaurant is excellent with a wide choice of food. The suites are comfortable and well-equipped. Above all, however, the staff make this place. Everyone from the management to the domestic staff want you to enjoy your stay and they succeed.

This is the most exquisite boutique hotel

This is the most exquisite boutique hotel we have visited. The lush gardens alone are worth a stay. I am exceedingly critical, and this is a rare hotel that I could not find anything worth criticizing.

Vacationing at Cobblers Cove : 2nd Year Straight

I cannot say enough about how totally amazing this very special place is to us!

On our second trip, staff remembered us from the previous year!

We stayed in the same suite, oceanfront, and I believe the same birds from last year greeted us every morning. The food is top notch, we ate every meal on the property.

There was nothing I longed for... actually I almost thought they remembered my requests from last year as I first walked into my suite (do they take notes?).

My husband and I took a “bespoken tour” of St Nicholas Abbey and some other notable areas of the island with Miguel Pena, an amazing historian and champion for restoration and preservation on the Barbados Island. I learned much in 3 hours and took about a thousand photos. Well worth the cost.

Mostly I relaxed. And that in itself is a miracle.

I highly recommend the Cobblers Cove as we have already made our reservations for next year.

Love Love Love

Beautiful hotel

The room was beautiful, cool and relaxing with white woodwork and complimentary pale pink and green linen. We really appreciated the small details such as the organic toiletries, cool water to drink and biscuit in the evening. I particularly liked the bathrooms! The dining room has an extensive menu and the food is fabulous. Lunch was my favourite meal with choices such as fresh fish, lobster, lamb, salads and some Italian dishes. The The evening menu was equally impressive and the mango soufflé to die for! All the staff were efficient friendly with a sense of humour. A lovely touch with the…

Cobblers cove is located on the calm west coast of barbados. With a beachfront location and stunning views, the family-owned hotel is a unique and historic plantation-era beachside retreat that embodies british elegance with caribbean charm.

Caribbean Heaven

We stayed over Christmas and new year 2019 and had the time of our lives, making fabulous memories. The suites are superbly decorated and layed out with ample space and the beds were dreamy, slept so well! Housekeeping we're genres, fresh sheets and towels daily, what more could you ask for. We found all the staff to be professional friendly, very helpful to the point they could anticipate our needs- nothing was too much trouble. I have to say I've never had such comfortable sun loungers, infact I defy anyone to find better ones!

The watersport's team were great and took us to swim with turtles, another must.

Having travelled all over the world this place is without question in the top two, the other one being my own house!

If your going to Barbados it is a must.

Class on the Coast

CC is far from soulless – it exudes personality. Whether it’s the water pistols on the breakfast table to discourage the birds or what can only be described as the comfiest (could they really be feather!??) pool loungers ever made. The staff were lovely and looked after our family’s every need. Bradley and the water sports team were excellent, patient teachers and my son finally managed to water-ski around the bay on day 3, much to everyone’s delight.

For us the personal touches at CC make it the perfect boutique hotel in Barbados. We will never forget our stay and can't wait to return.

The pink-hued cobblers cove hotel, located on the outskirts of speightstown, is one property that epitomises this momentum shift in barbados. The much-loved, family-owned resort has been a staple of the island’s luxury scene for more than 50 years.

5/5,This is an amazing hotel

This is an amazing hotel. It's located on the beach front and every room is a little cosy appartment just for you. The service is really good and the food is as well. Do not get frightened by the prices on the menu as they are in Barbadian dollars. Mind the exchange rate!

Overall, I'd really recommend this place for couples on their honeymoons or just people who are looking for a more intimate experience while having the quality of service that you'd expect in a high class hotel.

5/5 An absolute delight and a place you must visit at while in Barbados.

Exceptional location, staff and service. Fantastic breakfast, freshly cooked on demand and served with sparkling wine. Their filter coffee is really good, a rarity on the island. Complimentary ice cream served by the pool at 3pm, complimentary afternoon tea served at 5pm - a real treat!

Cocktail of the day priced at a reasonable 15 Barbados dollars, happy hour every Sunday around noon. Water sports are also complimentary so you can enjoy snorkelling, water ski, or a short boat trip to swim with the turtles - every day. If you are an early riser, you will even get a chance to spot monkey in the beautifully kept gardens. All in, a memorable experience and great value for money, I will definitely return.

Airy and elegant, cobblers cove encapsulates the caribbean colonial style as reinterpreted in the 1960s by the theatre designer Oliver Messel, who remodelled several houses nearby.

Simply the best

We loved Cobblers Cove, probably the most relaxing destination we have ever stayed at. Our ocean view room was lovely and the staff were extremely friendly. Perfect.

Which is to say that cobblers are intimate, unflashy, old fashioned and remarkably seductive.

5/5, Beautiful intimate hotel on the west coast

Beautiful intimate hotel on the west coast - lovely new ocean front suites and right on the water's edge! Really authentic and charming, with private tropical gardens.

My family and I spent 10 days at cobblers cove and I cannot think of one single thing I felt I needed during that time. My granddaughter summed it up on the second day when she said “. This hotel has anticipated what you need before you know you needed it”

The staff were fabulous and Richard the manager was an absolute star, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all for the holiday of a lifetime for my family. I shall return very soon. Well done keep up the good work.
